Tiran Island by Yacht (diving available)

Excursion program

• The hotel transfer is scheduled for approximately 08:00. The exact time is confirmed after booking.
• The drive to the port takes approximately 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the hotel's location.
• Arrival at the central marina, boarding the yacht, and a briefing.
• The yacht departs toward Tiran Island at approximately 10:00. The time may change due to weather and tourist police permits.
• Two snorkeling stops at coral reefs, each lasting about one hour.
• Optional — one or two scuba dives for an extra fee.
• Lunch on the yacht and soft drinks throughout the day.
• Return to the port at approximately 17:00 and transfer to the hotel by around 18:00.

Tiran Island and the coral reefs

Tiran Island is located at the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba. The area is known for its clear water, coral reefs, and diverse marine life. Most of the excursion takes place on the yacht and at the reefs: the program does not include landing directly on the island.

During the stops you can snorkel, watch the fish, or relax on deck. Children are allowed to snorkel with a life vest and under adult supervision.

The route and stop locations may be adjusted on the day of the trip. The decision is made by the yacht crew based on wind, sea swell, and safety requirements.

Diving During the Excursion

A trial dive with an instructor is available for guests without a certification. One dive costs +$12, two dives — +$24. Prices apply when booking in advance on the website; the price may be higher on site.

One dive lasts up to 15 minutes per person including preparation. The maximum depth is up to 7 meters. All dives take place at a safe location chosen by the instructor.

A briefing is given before the dive. Whether diving is possible depends on the participant's health, weather conditions, and the instructor's decision.

Diving for PADI Holders

A separate format is available for PADI Open Water certificate holders: one dive — +$49, two dives — +$54.

The duration of one certified dive is up to 40 minutes, and the maximum depth is up to 25 meters. The certificate must be shown before the program.

The price applies when booking through the website. Instructor and equipment availability, and whether diving is possible, are always confirmed in advance.

What is paid separately

• Renting a mask, fins, and a life vest — approximately $5 per item. Confirm the exact price on site.

• Photographer and videographer services are paid separately, directly to the provider.

Documents and Yacht Rules

• Photos of all participants' passports are needed for the tourist police permit.
• Bring a copy or a photo of your passport to the excursion.
• Yachts are designed for approximately 20-40 people, but actual capacity is limited by the tourist police.
• Bringing alcoholic drinks on board is not allowed.
• Before going to the upper deck, dry off with a towel and remove wet clothing to avoid slipping on the stairs.

What to bring

• A copy or photo of your passport.
• Swimsuit, towel, and a change of dry clothes.
• Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
• A sufficient amount of drinking water.
• Your own mask, snorkel, and fins, if you have them.
• Warm clothing in winter, in case it's windy.

Important Information

• The excursion runs when a group is formed and weather conditions are suitable.
• On some dates, especially in winter, a group may not be formed. Departure availability is confirmed before booking.
• If the trip to Tiran Island doesn't run, a similar program to Ras Mohammed and White Island is offered only after agreement with the tourist.
• Transfer time, the yacht's route, and the duration of stops may change due to weather, the hotel's location, and tourist police permits.
