Excursion Description
Swimming with dolphins in Hurghada — a separate program at the dolphinarium for those who want not just to watch the show, but also to interact with dolphins in the water under trainers' supervision.
This format suits both adults and children: the participant enters the pool while a trainer stays nearby to help the program go smoothly and safely. Usually during the swim you can touch a dolphin, swim next to it, get a rush of emotion, and take memorable photos through the venue's photographers.
This is a short but very emotional excursion, with no long drive or early departure. The transfer picks you up from the hotel, takes you to the dolphinarium, and brings you back after the program.

Important to know before booking
The swim is by advance booking only: the number of spots and convenient times depend on the dolphinarium's schedule. It's best to book in advance, especially if you need a specific date or several participants in a row.
If a participant has health restrictions, a strong fear of water, pregnancy, injuries, or other conditions, please let us know before booking. On-site trainers may restrict participation if they consider the program unsafe.
We do not promise any medical benefit from swimming with dolphins. This is an entertainment program and an emotional experience, not a medical treatment.
Swimming or the regular dolphinarium show
If you just want to watch a show with your kids, you can choose Dolphinarium in Hurghada: this is a show with dolphins and sea lions, with no entry into the water.
If your main goal is personal contact with dolphins, it's better to book the dolphin swim. These programs differ in format, price, and timing, so when you send your request, specify right away that you want the swim, not just the show.

How long does swimming with dolphins last?
There are two main options: 5 minutes and 10 minutes in the water. The total trip, including transfer, waiting, briefing, and changing, usually takes about 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on the hotel and schedule.
Can children swim with dolphins?
Yes, the program suits children, but age, height, water confidence, and the venue's rules should be confirmed in advance. When booking, let us know the child's age so we can check the participation conditions.
Do you need to be a strong swimmer?
Being confident in water is helpful, but the program is supervised by trainers. If someone is afraid of water or doesn't swim well, it's best to mention it in advance — we'll advise whether the format suits them.
Can I take photos myself?
Personal filming during the swim is often prohibited by the dolphinarium's rules. Photos and video are usually offered by the venue's photographers for a separate fee. It's best to confirm the conditions before the trip.
Are swimming with dolphins and the dolphinarium show the same thing?
No. The dolphinarium show is a performance for spectators. Swimming with dolphins is a separate program where the participant enters the water and spends the chosen time next to the dolphins under trainers' supervision.
When is it best to book?
It's best to book in advance, especially if you need a specific date, several participants, or a convenient time. The number of spots is limited by the dolphinarium's schedule.
Is there an extra charge for transfer from remote areas?
Yes. For El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, and Makadi, an extra fee of +$10 round trip usually applies, and for Soma Bay and Safaga, +$20 round trip. The fee is per booking of up to 6 people.
When and how do I pay?
Payment terms are confirmed at booking. Payment is usually made on site, but for programs with limited spots, you may be asked to confirm participation in advance.
